ITINERARY IN BRIEF
DAY 1: LUANG PRABANG (D)
Welcomed at Luang Prabang airport and transferred to the city. Short trip around Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage with impressive stupas and Wats. Enjoy the night Market. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU - LUANG PRABANG (B/L)
Visit the city’s oldest magnificent temple of Wat Xiengthong and take cruise on Mekong river to Pak Ou cave. Visit local villages and try local rice wine. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 3. LUANG PRABANG – KHOUANGSI WATER FALL – VILLAGES - LUANG PRABANG (B/L)
Joining the morning market of traditional crafts. Head to Khuangsi waterfall for swimming in nature pools or walk along forest trails. Enjoy silk weaving at local villages before back to Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
DAY 4. LUANG PRABANG – HANOI (B/D)
Visit National museum (at Royal Palace) in Luang Prabang before taking flight to Hanoi. Short city tour inclusive of Hanoi Old Quarter, Ngoc Son Temple and the “Sword” Lake. Enjoy a Water Puppetry show. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 5: HANOI - HALONG BAY – TRAIN TO LAO CAI (B/L/D)
Full day discover Halong Bay, a World Heritage as designated by UNESCO with thousands of rocky islands, grottoes and spend time for swimming or sunbath. Back to Hanoi for night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the Train.
DAY 6: VISIT SAPA (B/L)
A light discovery of Sapa with Sapa market, Dragon Peak for Sapa’s panorama, local villages of hill tribal people, enjoy daily life of Hmong ethnic group. Overnight in Sapa.
DAY 7: A COLOURFUL WEEKLY MARKET IN BACHA SURROUNDINGS – LAOCAI (B/L/D)
Join a weekly market of hill tribes living surrounding Bac Ha where people from tribes of Hmong, Tay, Dzay, Dzao, Kinh consider a market and cultural hub. Night train to Hanoi from Lao Cai at evening, overnight on the Train.
Note: Today should be Saturday, Sunday or Tuesday
DAY 8: HANOI – SAIGON (B/D)
Short circle around Hoan Kiem Lake, visit the Mausoleum and House of Ho Chi Minh, then take flight to Saigon. Visit the Reunification Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office, China Town and temples. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.
DAY 9. TAY NINH HOLYSEE – CU CHI TUNNEL (B/L)
Visit Tayninh, the centre of Caodaism, a local sect of Buddhism with daily noon ceremony. On the way to Saigon stop at Cu Chi Tunnels, a memorial of the Vietnam War. Overnight in Saigon.
DAY 10: SAIGON – SIEMREAP – ANGKOR THOM (B/D)
Flight to Siemreap, afternoon visit Angkor Thom with Bayon temple, Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and view the sunset at Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup. Dinner enjoying Apsara show, overnight in Siemreap.
DAY 11: ANGKOR WAT AND OTHER FAMOUS TEMPLES – SIEMREAP (B/L)
Full day discover Angkor Complex with Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, the natural lake of Sra Srang. Afternoon enjoy Angkor Wat. Back to Siemreap for overnight.
DAY 12: SIEMREAP - BANTEAY SREY - SIEMREAP (B/L)
Last day at Angkor with visit to Banteay Srey and Kbal Spean, “the river of thousand Lingas”, and walking in the forest. Return to Siemreap for overnight.
DAY 13: SIEMREAP DEPARTURE (B)
At leisure before transfer to airport for departure.
End of services.
